2017 One Second A Day // the year I became a mother
Well, it's officially January 2nd, and it's time for my, now traditional, yearly One Second A Day post! This year was a tad different than last year, in that we gained a member of our family instead of losing one. In November of 2016 we said goodbye to our sweet old doggie Bijoux, but in January of 2017 we found out we were having our first baby! How things change! What a crazy year it's been - if you want to get more personal updates, you can sign up for my newsletter here - I've made a promise to myself that I'm going to send it out at LEAST monthly, if not every other week, so sign up and follow along! I already sent one out in 2018! Woohoo!
This year was filled with so many awesome trips, so much quality time with friends and family, and once again, so many amazing couples who hired us to photograph their wedding days. And their engagements. And their families. We are so lucky we get to do what we love, and now we are thankful we get to be home with our little one and watch him grow and learn. So far it's rather similar to having Bijoux around- he sleeps while we email and do our work during the day, we take him for slow walks around the neighborhood while we drink our coffee and plan for the future of the business, and he comes to our client meetings and charms his way into the hearts of everyone we meet with. Win win! I know it will not always be this way, so I'm trying to soak up every moment with his little chubby cheeks.
Okay- enough about our cute kiddo- you'll see plenty of him in my one second a day- but I just want to say a happy new year to anyone who reads this blog, and that a lot of amazing things are in the works for Sonja K Photography in 2018! We are already booking AMAZING couples for this year, and we can't wait to see who else comes into our lives! If you know anyone who is getting married, or might want to book a family session, send them our way! We'd love to work with them, because friends of yours are friends of ours!
