A wedding at the Wedgewood in Boulder is always a classy affair, and Christine and Jameson's wedding was no exception. They had a beautiful Monday wedding this summer, which is actually a really smart way to save a little cash at some of these Colorado wedding venues - getting married on a weekday. We loved photographing their beautiful day, meeting all of their awesome friends and family, and enjoying the perfect weather in the Boulder Canyon right next to Boulder Creek. Wedgewood Boulder has such a gorgeous setting, and the staff there is just so lovely to work with. The whole day ran right on time, and everything went smoothly for this beautiful wedding.
We met Christine and Jameson earlier this year and chatted details about their wedding, and also planned their engagement session in Rocky Mountain National Park, which you can see here. When they told me their colors were pink and green I was sold - two of my favorite colors together, especially for a wedding! They are such a sweet couple, and clearly make each other so happy, we were so excited to photograph their late summer wedding!
The day started with everyone getting ready in the suites on-site at Wedgewood, and all the decorations and lawn games getting set up before a sweet afternoon ceremony above the creek. There was a hint of rain, but only enough to cool everything off and have the perfect clouds in the skies for photos. The bridesmaids all had personalized hangers for their dresses, along with adorable glittery champagne cups, all made by one of the bridesmaids! The dinner was kicked off with a heartfelt slideshow about the couple, followed by toasts that brought tears to everyone's eyes, and dancing that left everyone barefoot and sweaty! Christine and Jameson were sent off with a tea-candle exit, and quite the decorations attached to their car. We had such a fun day with these two, and wish them all the best as newlyweds!
When asked to describe each other in one word, each of them said:
- Christine: If you could describe your partner in one word, what would you use?
- Jameson: If you could describe your partner in one word, what would you use?
And their one piece of advice for couples getting married in the future is: to write everything down- don't try to keep it all in your head. Sound advice, and we would agree!
