Beth + Seth || Southeast Wyoming

A beautiful outdoor wedding on family property with perfect weather and no wind in Wyoming? Yes please! We couldn't have had a more laid-back and fun time than at Beth and Seth's wedding out near Vedauwoo and Curt Gowdy State Park.

The details from this wedding were so simple and so powerful- quaint covered hay bales for seating, a natural rock outcropping for the ceremony backdrop, and a giant tent for the reception and dancing the night away. And seriously- the fact that there was NO WIND for this wedding is still amazing me. In Wyoming they won't even refer to wind by name, simply calling it "the dubya" so as not to anger the wind gods, or whoever is in charge of sending 60+mph gales through almost every outdoor activity.

For the first look, while we waited for the bride to arrive, the groom and the wedding party picked bright wildflowers from the nearby land to make up her bouquet. It doesn't get much more beautiful than natural wildflowers picked from the hill you got married on.

The father of the bride folded 1,000 paper cranes HIMSELF to decorate the reception tent.

The wedding band was a surprise for the bride, with her first look at it when it was placed on her finger during the ceremony. (good job groom!)

Everyone wore beautifully bright daisy blooms in their corsages and boutonnieres, and there were super-hip belt buckles and alligator cowboy boots to go along with the sharp suits. Dapper ring bearers, complete with bow-ties and suspenders decorated the ring boxes with paint and glitter, and held up the bride's beautiful train as she walked down the aisle.

It was such an awesome wedding- I had to keep pinching myself while we were there. We had only skyped with Beth and Seth prior to their wedding, but when we showed up we were immediately welcomed like family. Everyone was so warm and fun and genuine, and the love that poured out for Beth and Seth's ceremony was all-encompassing. We are so lucky to work with such amazing couples- thank you for letting us document your beautiful wedding day, and cheers to another awesome couple!
